Climate:
Cambodia has a monsoon climate, the dry season
runs from November to April and the rainy season
from May to October. Temperatures range from 24°C
in the dry season to 35°C in the rainy season.
Language:
Khmer, Chinese, Vietnamese, some French and English
Currency: Riel. The import and export of local
currency is prohibited. Travellers' cheques and
credit cards have limited acceptance. The US dollar
is widely accepted.
Visa
Requirements:
All foreign nationals require visas. Single entry
tourist visas, approx. US$20, are valid for one
month, can be issued on arrival at Phnom Penh
and Siem Reap airports, or can be obtained in
Hong Kong prior to departure. Two passport size
photographs are required.

Myanmar
Time:
GMT +6 1/2 (11/2 hours behind Hong Kong)
Climate:
As in any large country temperatures do vary across
the region but generally monsoon rains and high
humidity from May - October, November - February
is the 'cool season' and the most pleasant time
to visit, average temperature is 21-28°C. March-mid
May is the driest season and temperatures can
climb to over 38°.
Language:
Myanmar (Burmese) is the official language, but
there are 100 or more local distinct languages.
English is quite widely spoken and understood.
Currency: Kyat. As a result of sanctions
by the USA, the following credit cards and travellers
cheques are NOT ACCEPTED in Myanmar - VISA, MASTER,
DINERS & AMERICAN EXPRESS.
However US$ cash is widely accepted and we advise
you take cash in small denominations.
Visa
Requirements:
All foreign nationals require visas, which must
be issued prior to arrival in Yangon.
Cost is HK$150 per person and 3 photographs are
required.

Thailand
Time:
GMT +7 (1 hour behind Hong Kong)
Climate:
Tropical climate with three distinct seasons.
It is hot and dry from February to May, the wet
months are June to October, and the coolest are
from November to January. Average temperature
year round is about 28°C. In the north and northeast
lower temperatures are experienced at night, while
Ko Samui receives most of its rain between October
and December.
Language:
Thai. English is widely understood and spoken
especially in hotels, restaurants and shops.
Currency: Thai Baht
Visa
Requirements:
For tourist stays of up to 30 days many nationalities
do not require visas. Please check with the consulate.

Tropical climate in the north and a sub-Equatorial
climate in the south. The coolest month is January,
when it can be very cold in the north. The warmest
months are March and April in the south and July
and August in the north. The rainy season lasts
from May to October.
Language:
Vietnamese. Some French and English spoken.
Currency: Dong (VND). The US$ is widely accepted
while credit cards usage is limited.
Visa
Requirements:
All foreign nationals require visas. Single entry
tourist visas, approx. HK$300, are valid for four
weeks and should be obtained in Hong Kong prior
to departure. Two passport size photographs are
required.
